Theoretical Criminology Annual Best Article PrizeRead the 2017 WINNING ARTICLE by Mark Brown The Editors of Theoretical Criminology are pleased to announce the 2017 Theoretical Criminology Best Article Prize has been awarded to Mark Brown for "Postcolonial penality: Liberty and repression in the shadow of independence, India c. 1947". Each year the winning article is deemed to advance critical inquiry in the field of theoretical criminology. Qualities sought include clarity of writing, breadth of ambition and original inquiry. Particular weight is given to work from emerging scholars. All articles published in Theoretical Criminology will be considered for the prize by a committee made up of the journal’s Editorial Board members. The winner will be announced in the first issue of each year and their article will publicised by SAGE.
